Daft.ie has launched its own Local Property Tax calculator, enabling users to estimate the value of their property, and a corresponding estimated local property tax (LPT) due for 2013 and 2014.
The Daft.ie property calculator function allows users to input more information regarding their property than the Government’s own Revenue.ie calculator, i.e.: number of bedrooms and bathrooms and a property type.
Though Daft.ie is confident that homeowners should be able to get a more accurate estimate using its website, the company warns that the tax calculator should only be used as an indicator.
The website posted a disclaimer:
The Daft Local Property Tax Calculator is designed to give you an estimated property value for the purpose of deducing your relevant tax band. The calculator provides estimates only and can not take into consideration factors such as square footage, state of repair or other exceptional or unique features, which will have to be assessed separately.
Daft.ie provides no guarantee that a property value estimation is an accurate representation of the property’s market value.
