Devscore, a Saas business specializing in helping recruitment professionals source and acquire software development talent, has announced the appointment of Danish businessman, Mathias Kaer as co-founder of the company.
Kaer joins Peter Cummings, DevScore’s founder, in driving the business forward during a period of renewed growth.
Cummings has known Kaer for a number of years, and said that “It’s great to have a co-founder of his caliber take the reins on securing key partnerships.”
For a number of years, Kaer ran his own sales consultancy and worked with such high-profile brands like Citibank, Scandinavian Airlines, Shell, Tele2, and Tivol. Kaer opened several offices and grew his business to 50 employees. Kaer moved to Oslo where he built a sales department for Infiber, which was later sold to Broadnet, one of the largest telecom companies in Norway.
He eventually returned to Copenhagen and established a series of businesses – including scent marketing company, Vision Aroma and b’leaf, an environmental company planting trees in Tanzania. Kaer did not stop there, however, he also became a restaurateur, opening his first restaurant, Nordens Folkekøkken and eventually self-funding and launching 12 more restaurants across Denmark.
In 2015, Kaer relocated to New York to join Lemonsqueeze, a market expansion platform which enables European companies to establish and scale in the US market. He opened a fine dining Nordic restaurant, called N’eat, after which the opportunity to join DevScore came about.
“Solid B2B tech products are hard to come by,” says Kaer. “There’s so much opportunity in the recruitment tech space and DevScore’s right on the cusp of tapping into an industry need that’s been sorely underserved for some time. I’m keen to play my part in its success.”
