Birmingham has seen the arrival of another unique startup.
A technological-startup company called Joonko has moved its global headquarters from San Fransisco, California to Birmingham, Alabama after receiving an investment from the Alabama Futures Fund.
The company will relocate to the Pack Health building on First Avenue North early next year. It is the first investment by the Alabama Futures Fund (AFF), which was founded earlier this year. AFF seeks early-stage investments in Alabama-based operating companies and companies that are willing to relocate their headquarters and primary business operations to Alabama.
Joonko provides a software platform combining artificial intelligence, data mining of a company’s Applicant Tracking Systems and advanced data analytics to help companies find and hire candidates that reflect a more diverse workforce. The company also has a headquarters in Israel.
