The French digital agency network iad has acquired Mexican digital agency Neximo for an undisclosed sum. The deal will see iad’s network grow considerably as it acquires a company with a very similar model to its own based on network marketing and digitization of real estate.
Having been founded in France in 2008, iad has grown to include 11,500 agents in Europe and is now present in Portugal, Spain, and Italy with plans to launch in Germany in 2021. In June the company announced a turnover of €280 million, representing a 24% increase year on year. With similar growth expected over the next 12 months the time was thought to be right to expand across the Atlantic and purchase the brainchild of former Vivanuncios - ebay and W3 CEO Karim Goudiaby who said of the deal:
“We are delighted to be joining the large iad family. iad is the first network of agents in France and above all the only one to offer a borderless view of its network. Our network will take advantage of iad's know-how to continue expanding in Mexico. We will be able to create real synergies between iad's skills and our knowledge of the local market”.
The leadership at iad clearly see the move as one that is rooted in growing digitization and network marketing. Commenting on the deal, iad Group President Roland Tripard said:
“We are still at the beginning of the digitalization of the real estate business. This trend should accelerate in the coming years, making it easier for everyone to carry out their real estate project, regardless of the country. If the health crisis has temporarily slowed international trade, our belief is that our lifestyles will become more and more international. This is why we aim to become the reference player in the international real estate transaction.”
