According to the Australian publication, The Age, Domain.com.au’s parent company, Fairfax Media was recently fined AUS$15,000 for contempt after it unintentionally published false advertising for its real estate site Domain despite a court undertaking.
Fairfax also owns The Age and the Sydney Morning Herald. An advertisement in the SMH on the 13th of February, 2017 claimed Domain was the “#1 property app in Australia” and it had “the most property listings in Sydney”.

News Corp, Fairfax’s competitor, majority owns REA Group.
