Ford recently launched their new retail experience within the Next store at the Arndale shopping centre in Manchester, UK.
The FordStore is part of a £12m refurbishment and refit of the Next store at Arndale, which attracts 42 million visitors a year.
Developed with specialist supplier Rockar, Ford’s online sales website allows customers to specify, finance and order a new vehicle for delivery via participating dealers or the customer’s home, as well as trade in their current vehicle.
The FordStore sits in a the refitted and expanded Next retail environment with new concessions, including a florist, prosecco bar, restaurant, children’s activity centre, café, card and stationery shop and barber. Next is also in negotiation to add a spa operator and bridalwear concession.
Renting space in shopping centres is expensive but good for raising brand awareness. Ford does not disclose how much it is paying for the concession and Next does not break it down.
