Most companies typically do twice a year evaluation meetings, and the Brussels-based startup, Frizby, is looking to overhaul the assessment model as a whole. Through simplifying the feedback exchange between coworkers during the year, it makes it easier to choose objectives in the short to mid-term and create better visual aids for personal progress.
In addition, the app focuses on multiple informal discussions between employees and managers. In this way, companies can improve their internal communication and the well-being of their employees. And that has a positive effect on the results of the company.
Most employees and managers do not really look forward to the (semi) annual evaluation interviews.
Sam Boribon, Co-founder of Frizby and former consultant at Ernst & Young commented, “Interviews today are mainly focused on possible salary increases, but such an approach does not put the development of the employee at the center, and also links feedback and compensation too strongly.”
