IVD24Immobilien.de, a real estate platform launched last year in the south of Germany by agents as an alternative to Immobilienscout24 and Immowelt, has expanded to five more states.
The site, IVD24Immobilien.de now has a presence in seven of Germany’s 16 states, having originally launched in just two, Bayern and Baden-Württemberg.
The additional states include Lower Saxony, Hamburg, Bremen, Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg West-Pomerania.
According to a report from Aim Group the site is also in employment mode with Munich-based creator and operator of the site IVD Süd advertising a half-day job for a junior online content manager to promote the site on the social media and assist with member acquisition.
The Aim Group report says site development and upkeep was outsourced to ED Computer & Design in Cologne. So, the online content manager will be the first and only employee of the site inside IVD Süd.
With about 1,600 member agents, IVD Süd is the major regional division of IVD, Germany’s largest association for real estate agents. It serves Baden-Württemberg and Bayern, which are economic powerhouses of the country.
Estate agents who are members of IVD Süd and of the regional divisions of IVD in its five new states, may list any number of properties on the site at no cost.
An IVD membership fee covers the cost of using the site with paid up member agents able to use it as part of the benefits of their membership.
“We don’t know (yet) on which basis the owner (IVD Süd) allows the other regional associations of IVD to use IVD24Immobilien. We’ve asked and will report,” the AIM Group report adds.
