Southeast Asian ride-hailing firm Grab has linked up with Disney to promote Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which is set to be released in theatres around the world between 13 December and 15 December.
Through the partnership, Grab users across Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam have the chance to win prizes by picking to pledge their allegiance to either the First Order or the Resistance.
By opting in, Grab users continue to ride as normal but can be rewarded for their journeys by using the GrabRewards points they earn to obtain a variety of Star Wars-themed goodies, such as a tote bag, a passport cover, and tickets to an exclusive private screening of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Riders that use the service using the promo code ‘THELASTJEDI’ on their trips between 27 November and 10 December have the chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to Rancho Obi-Wan in California. The prize will be rewarded to the rider that takes the most trips using the promo code during the period.
In addition, there will be weekly ‘battles’ between the First Order and the Resistance, where the winning side will unlock access to prizes.
