Edtech leader Hobsons, as well as the company behind Naviance, has recently announced their new College, Career and Life Readiness (CCLR) Framework. This CCLR Framework will grow the definition of college and career readiness as well as identify what skills modern students will need to succeed in the workforce.
The CCLR Framework provides a blueprint to prepare middle and high school students for success after graduation. This practical toolset helps schools and districts of all types define, measure and track success for their college, career, and life readiness initiatives. The result is a purposeful approach to CCLR that drives long-term student engagement and better outcomes.
The research-backed framework outlines six competencies that students in grades 6-12 must achieve to become college, career, and life ready. Each competency outlines themes and objectives to further define success, as well as grade-specific activities to achieve each of the grade-specific objectives. The framework provides guidance on key the metrics to track related to each competency.
Educators can assess the maturity of their organization’s college, career, and life readiness initiatives with a research-based diagnostic assessment and a summative assessment.
“The Naviance team is proud to be a thought leader by defining and providing the framework for what it means to be college, career and life ready,” said Kim Oppelt, Director of Education and Outreach. “We continue our efforts by providing schools and districts across the country with not only the toolset required but the skill set and mindset to use in support of student success.”
