US real estate portal homes.com, which ranked ninth in the latest Hitwise list of top US real estate websites, is reporting an 88 percent increase in traffic compared to one year ago.
A statement on the website says Monday 9 November was homes.com’s biggest day for traffic all year, which it explains could be due to the recent tax credit extension that affects first time home buyers and “move up” buyers.
According to homes.com, its traffic throughout the year is up by an average of 40 percent.
homes.com has just partnered with ListHub to allow ListHub’s national network of brokers and MLSs to place their available listings on homes.com at no cost.
The portal also joined the growing ranks of property websites offering mobile options with the release of a free application for the BlackBerry Storm in September.
