Leading German portal ImmobilienScout24 has launched a virtual reality app for Android and IOS so searchers can view properties in 3D.
Virtual Tours allows real estate professionals to quickly and efficiently create a tour and edit it immediately. The app is also intended to give buyers a comprehensive, real-life experience without attending the property in person. The app and technology has been provided by 3D home tour company, immoviewer and is available from the Google Play store and the App store.
Ralf Von Grafenstein, immoviewer CEO, said the opportunity to partner with a big property portal was exciting for his company.
“This is a big opportunity for us because Immoscout24 are one of the biggest portals in Europe and out first big white label customer,” Von Grafenstein said. “This is yet another step towards being the global leader in 3D tours.”
ImmobilienScout24 has been driving the implementation of Virtual Reality since the Spring of 2016.
A recent survey among users, owners and brokers of ImmobilienScout24 claims that about 80 per cent of potential buyers prefer virtual tours to get a better picture of a property’s layout. At the same time, almost half of all brokers surveyed believe that virtual tours can save them money, as they give potential buyers the opportunity to get a clear idea of a listing and decide which listing they are truly interested in seeing in person.
“As a driver of innovation, we take advantage of the latest trends and support brokers in the process of digitising their business,” said Jessica Dewald, Head of Product and Marketing B2B Customers at ImmobilienScout24.
“With the app, we are building technical hurdles and simplifying the creation of virtual tours.”
