One of Europe’s leading property marketplaces – ImmoScout24 Switzerland – has joined forces with VR tour company Spectando to offer an in-app virtual solution.
ImmoScout24 Switzerland is the first property portal globally to offer a virtual tour functionality directly in their existing smartphone app. Now, both private users and real estate agents can create virtual tours using the ImmoScout24 app and can do so in their familiar software environment without the need to install an additional app. Another advantage, is that the virtual tour gets directly added to the desired listing without the need to manually copy the tour link. The user can create a virtual tour either just with a smartphone or using hardware equipment such as a 360° camera or a fully-automated high-resolution DSLR camera solution delivering the same quality as a professional photographer. The in-app virtual tour solution is based on a software development kit (SDK) developed by computer vision company Spectando.
Spectando is a leading provider of Virtual Reality solutions for the real estate sector. It recently got selected to the TOP 25 real estate startups from over 350 applicants by the Real Estate Innovation Network (REIN) and is invited to present their solutions at Expo Real – one of Europe’s leading real estate conferences – in Munich between the 4th and 6th October 2017. Spectando was able to convince the jury of real estate experts with its novel technology to turn virtual panoramic tours into accurate floor plans as well as photorealistic 3D models. Up to now this is only possible with expensive and time-intensive laser scanning solutions.
“Partnering with ImmoScout24 Switzerland is a great step for us and we are proud to enable immoscout24.ch customers to enjoy such an easy-to-use solution for creating virtual property tours. It is great to see that an established player as ImmoScout24 shares our vision and that they understand the importance of catering the needs and desires of today’s digital customers” says Alexander Sanders, CEO of Spectando.
ImmoScout24 sees itself as a driver of digitisation and has recognised the benefits of virtual reality solutions both for the real estate agent as well as the person looking for a new home. “Real estate agents who add a virtual tour to their property listing benefit from an increased interest in their listing”, says Martin Waeber, Director of ImmoScout24 Switzerland. “It’s a big benefit for our customers to create virtual tours directly from within our app without the need to use additional tools.”
