British #2 property portal Zoopla has ended its relationship with a leading industry awards company. ESTAS is a platform for UK estate agents to post and share reviews which also holds annual industry awards for agents. In sponsoring ETSA’s events for the past ten years, Zoopla has sought to position its brand as an integral part of the industry and one that is very much on the side of its agent customers. That relationship has come to an end this year, with ETSA founder Simon Brown saying:
“As we focus on our customer review platform and continue to recognise the best agents, brokers and conveyancers for customer service we want to help consumers make more informed decisions when embarking on the moving process and we want a partner with similar aspirations.”
Zoopla for their part have also released a statement via Chief Commercial Officer Andy Marshall:
“We wish everyone at the ESTAS the very best and look forward to joining them and cheering from the sidelines in the years to come.”
It is not known whether the split was mutual or dictated by one party or the other. Zoopla, for its part, has recently launched what it has termed its biggest marketing campaign to date including costly TV advertising and will be looking to capitalise on record sales and traffic figures being reported in the UK sales market.
