Kian Moini is the CEO of Lamudi, an online real estate marketplace with operations in 34 countries which was established in 2013. The company focuses on emerging real-estate markets and provides a place for potential buyers, renters, and even landlords to easily post or discover properties. Lamudi says it has close to one million listings throughout Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
Moini is Lamudi’s Co-Founder and has been its CEO since 2014. He attended and graduated from EMLYON Business School and the University of Amsterdam where he was cum laude with a focus in business studies. Before founding Lamudi, Moini worked as a Senior Associate at McKinsey & Company for several years.
At the Global Online Marketplaces Summit in Miami this past June, Moini sat down with our editors for a brief interview, addressing among other things, how Lamudi doesn’t approach real estate classifieds as one single business model, and how the company has adapted and shifted itself to find what works best for the business. Moini also emphasizes Lamudi’s sale operations and their ability to discover and convert leads into potential sales.
