As part of Zoopla’s recent merger with Digital Property Group, a new deal has arisen that changes the way that portals in Scotland are distributed.
Zoopla Property Group, the name of the merged entity, has now partnered exclusively with Lettingweb – the largest marketplace for lettings in Scotland – to advertise their Scottish rental property. The new exclusive deal means that any Scottish letting agent who uploads properties to Lettingweb also has their properties advertised on every Zoopla Property Group site.
Zoopla Property Group have had a busy few months since merging in June, launching a new marketing campaign with primetime TV adverts across the UK, a sponsorship deal with Premiership football team West Bromwich Albion, and a new print campaign for Primelocation in their biggest marketing campaign to date.
Steve Tigar, Lettingweb’s Managing Director, had this to say about the deal:
‘The Zoopla and Digital Property Group merger is a watershed moment in the still young property portal industry. The combined entity now represents a serious challenge to Rightmove’s dominance in the market. The team at Lettingweb welcome the increased competition as it will drive continued innovation and, in turn, a better value marketplace.
We are delighted to be partnering with the new Zoopla Property Group and believe our members will benefit from the huge investment they are putting behind their collective brands in Scotland.’
Zoopla started powering Findaproperty and Primelocation this week, and Lettingweb properties are also now appearing across all of the sites.
