Mediabistro, the premier careers site for the media sector and content professionals, has announced an expansion of new services to employers.
Mediabistro was acquired by Uncubed, a leading online talent acquisition marketplace and employer branding platform, earlier this year with a strategy to bring additional services to Mediabistro customers, and to invest in the core historical strengths of Mediabistro.
"All kinds of companies – even well beyond the media sector itself – rely on the Mediabistro job board for sourcing new content, editorial, design, and marketing talent," said Chris Johnson, CEO of Uncubed. “Now we’re able to serve those same organizations with employer brand video and strategy services, customized recruiting services, and networking events – and we’ve seen really strong adoption already.”
The company’s in-house studio has built key employer brand video content for some of the world’s leading companies including IBM, AB InBev, and top technology startups. Mediabistro customers now have access to the same video services and strategy expertise, allowing them to better attract and engage candidates, and compete with the most attractive employers in the market.
Customized recruiting services developed by Uncubed are also now available to Mediabistro employers, allowing access to curated, highly-qualified candidates, powered by the company’s matching technology and a recruiting team experienced in engaging and screening top candidates.
“The service is both an efficiency solution and a quality solution,” noted Johnson. “Hiring teams are only seeing the best, pre-screened candidates from our network, instead of sifting through an endless, unrefined pipeline on their own.”
The company’s customized tech-enabled recruiting solutions have produced hundreds of hires to-date, primarily in software, data, product, and other digital go-to-market roles.

In addition to the employer brand and customized recruiting services, Mediabistro customers now have access to employer networking events, including Uncubed’s popular HR Breakfast series. The company expects to continue to roll out new services to Mediabistro employers, with additional announcements expected in 2020.
