ActivePipe, a Melbourne-based automated communications platform for real estate, has announced a successful $1.8m pre-Series A funding round to accelerate both in Australia and internationally, reports anthill online.
The start-up was launched in 2015 and assists real estate agents and brokers to identify and convert potential buyers and sellers. It profiles contacts and determines intent before automating communication with property information and call-to-action relevant to their needs.
Martin Dalgleish from Asia Principal Capital has joined the Board as Chairman, and will assist the company as it establishes itself in the US and UK.
ActivePipe CEO Ashley Farrugia said the online real estate market needs proptech to navigate its way through data.
“Despite local market nuances and structural differences, buying and selling real estate is broadly the same worldwide,” he said.
“Having seen the first wave of disruption from print to portal, the industry now needs to embrace tools of the calibre of ActivePipe to sift through the profitable data of customer interactions.”
