The Mercedes-Benz Vans division out of the UK is launching an internet-based car sales platform for their new X-Class van.
A short supply of the Edition 1 X-Class will be available for customers to purchase online.
Mercedes-Benz Vans UK Managing Director, Steve Bridge, recently stated, “We have historically been the pioneers in the commercial vehicle business, and in-line with our ‘AdVANce’ strategic initiative, we are proud to be the first commercial vehicle manufacturer to bring this platform to our customers.”
“We constantly look for ways to diversify and grow our business for ever-changing customer needs which is what this innovative online platform hopes to achieve.”
“With over 40,000 new vehicles sold in 2017, this platform is set not to replace the existing dealer network, but to extend the breadth of customers we are able to engage with.”
“The Mercedes-Benz Vans retailer network’s expertise and service is vital to keeping Britain’s businesses moving, and this online platform introduction helps us as a business put the customer at the centre of everything we do.”
The internet-based sales platform will also allow a choice of finance services: Agility, a personal contract plan, personal contract hires, business contract hires, and an arrangement of flexible finance parameters for yearly mileage and deposit assistance.
Also, consumers can have their car delivered to their address or just visit a specific nearby dealership and pick it up.
Two other free services are also included with the Edition 1 X-Class offer.
The beginning of an internet sales platform for Merecedes-Benz is proof the car maker is becoming a holistic provider of transportation mobility solutions, said Bridge.
The Edition 1 X-Class also features equipment that’s in the Power line, including an electric driver and passenger seats, thermometric climate control air conditioning, key-less entry, a leather steering wheel, and a winter package that includes heated seats and even heated washer fluid sprayers.
