Monster.com and New York-based ad agency KBS have transformed the job platform’s purple monster into a CGI creature “showing” new career opportunities.
The revamped mascot is the star of a new campaign entitled “Job Search,” which serves as a global brand relaunch and expansion of Monster.com’s “Find Better” platform. The company says that they wanted to communicate that Monster is behind the job seeker, standing in their corner as they navigate the taxing and often confusing job search process.
The ad features a Godzilla-like CGI version of Monster.com’s mascot ripping through an office building, grabbing a female executive and “rescuing” her from her mundane and thankless job. The purple hairy monster then stomps through the city and places her into another office building, where she’ll probably be happier.
The monster was created by The Mill. The spot features several CGI environments, including streets, alleyways and office spaces, which are integrated with live action shots designed to represent an undefined major city.
The ad is set to run across multiple mediums, including TV, digital, cinema, and social channels.
