Monster Worldwide, the job portal site, has teamed up with TextRecruit to harness new technology and approach new potential employees in a new, unique way.
Companies that use Monster will be able to post their job listings as usual, but can also text or IM them to users searching for a job in that sector. Interviews can be scheduled over live chat, and some of the initial interaction between potential hire and the company can now be automated through this service.
“We are excited to enter into an agreement with TextRecruit that enables Monster to provide enhanced candidate engagement for our customers as they look for new and faster ways to communicate with candidates and reduce the time to hire,” said Chris Cho, Chief Product Officer at Monster.
Studies have shown that job applicants are far more often to swiftly respond to a text message or instant message over a phone call or email. TextRecruit can also continue to support Monster and the businesses that use it after the employee is hired, keeping in contact with them and giving managers easy access to their staff.
