Indian real rental startup NestAway.com has appointed former babajobs.com CMO Rishi Dogra its head of marketing.
Dogra spent a brief time at the Bengaluru-based job portal, prior to which he was head of digital at PepsiCo overseeing all portfolio brands in the beverages, foods and nutrition categories.
Bangalore-based NestAway positions itself as a solution to the housing crisis faced by single youth in India by eliminating estate agents in the home-finding process. It competes with Zenify.com and GrabHouse.com in the space.
Dogra told ET the problem NestAway is solving is a very tough and real one he has experienced first hand.
“The journey of making sure ‘no city is a stranger’ is an exciting one and I look forward to partnering the talented team at NestAway and making this happen,” he says
Launched in 2015 by Jitendra Jagadev, Amarendra Sahu, Deepak Dhar and Smruti Parida, Nestway has raised funds from Tiger Global, IDG Ventures, Flipkart and angel investor Naveen Tiwari amongst others.
Earlier this year, entrepreneur Ratan Tata also invested an undisclosed amount in the company.
As well as Bangalore, the business operates in Bengaluru, NCR, Pune and Hyderabad, and plans to launch services in Mumbai and Chennai very soon.
