Recently launched Shedfinders.com, is operated by a team from a Chartered Surveying background – and Industrial Agency in particular – the site provides a new platform upon which to market Industrial Property, Land and Investments, distinct from the volume of shops, offices etc to be found on most other sites.
Shedfinders’ aim is to amalgamate the fragmented Industrial Property Market via one online Market Place. The company is privately owned by the management team and has no external shareholders. Shedfinders are not brokers and have no affiliation or partnership with any firm of Chartered Surveyors or Property Companies. Therefore providing an unbiased service to the market.
“I think it’s universally accepted that the majority of property searches are now being conducted online and so it seemed sensible that there should be one online marketplace for anyone to search for Industrial Property – separate from wider commercial property types. It’s a distinct market and so a bespoke site enables quick, simple searching,” said Shedfinders Director Jonathan Cockburn.
Simplicity is at the heart of Shedfinders, from the branding through to the ease of navigating the site itself, the process of matching available properties to requirements is easy.
Budget constraints dictate that everyone is seeking maximum exposure for minimum outlay, what Shedfinders delivers is a well designed site created after extensive market research that is undoubtedly cost effective and optimised for search engine prominence.
“Our intent is that, the site will act as a catalyst for increased contact between agents and occupiers and so we created a number of features to encourage this – such as our ‘good to know,’ ‘submit terms’ and ‘compare properties’ functions.”
Recognising the need to keep up with the rapidly changing market, Shedfinders has established an association with Napier University in Edinburgh, with which the company is working on developing new applications for its site.
