Bristol has a new online jobs board focused on roles in adult care.
Set up by Brisol City Council as part of its Proud to Care campaign, dozens of jobs are already available to apply for on the website.
Employers, partners, and volunteer organizations who have signed up to the Proud to Care Bristol Charter add new roles daily.
A cabinet member for the adult social care at the council, Cllr Helen Holland said: “Care can provide all kinds of flexible work and there’s a huge array of different roles on offer.
“It’s not your average 9-5 in an office, but can be so much more than that. We know care providers across the country have had problems recruiting and retaining staff in the past, so we are hoping to address this and also ensure current employees get the recognition they deserve.”
The campaign specifically targets audiences like young people and those who have studied healtch and social care. These include parents returning to work, people aged 50 or up who want to give back to the community, and students seeking seasonal work. Eventually, the program will reach all potential care workers.
Running for two years, both paid and volunteer roles can be found on the jobs board.
