Soon to launch PropTech transaction progression company BreezeMove will have a former Rightmove Commercial Director as a non-Executive Director. Liverpool based BreezeMove is seeking to smooth over property transactions in the UK which are notorious for becoming bogged down with poor communication between parties with 1 in 3 transactions falling through in the conveyancing stage. According to BreezeMove CEO Phil Melia, “All of us within the property industry accept that the moving transaction is broken and getting worse”.
BreezeMove’s offer works by providing an online platform for both buyer, seller, to upload documents, choose a solicitor, enter into a reservation agreement, and check the transaction’s progress. The platform, which is currently being trialed by select agents, is reportedly free for agents to use and will even pay them a referral fee once a sale completes.
BreezeMove joins an ever-growing list of PropTech startups looking to smooth over antiquated property transaction systems across the globe. There is clearly a problem to solve here and BreezeMove in the UK, Offr in Ireland, AoCubo in Brazil and Zumper’s Rent Guarantee in the US are just some of the solutions we’ve covered over the last few weeks.
