Diversified property group Pellicano has responded to the rapidly disrupting market by developing its own app to manage its $350 million property portfolio, after recognising the demand for a digital platform amongst its clients.
The thinking behind the app – Pellicano Property Update – was to develop a digital tool to expedite the sales process to give consumers more autonomy over the way they engage with property. In this way, Pellicano’s app lists all properties for sale and lease in their extensive portfolio across the residential, industrial, commercial, retail, and bulky goods sectors in Victoria and Queensland.
In opposition to many other apps on the market, the app will be available directly to investors and the greater public to provide transparency and accountability as to stock availability in their portfolio.
Managing director Nando Pellicano says the app represents Pellicano’s commitment to evolving with the property market, a belief they have held over their 49 years in business.
“With so many online portals and industry disruptors, Pellicano saw the need to move into this space and give its agents and investors real time and direct access to the entirety of its portfolio,” Pellicano said.
“Pellicano has remained at the forefront of the industry for nearly 50 years. One of the reasons for this is our careful research, analysis and commitment to keeping ahead of trends to fulfil the demands of our customers and stakeholders.”
The property group has rolled out a quarterly property update for Victorian and Queensland agents for over six years. It has recently for the first time recorded a higher engagement with the digital version of the property update, spurring them to consider the market’s evolution and how they could keep up with the demand for digital access. The team spent over 12 months designing and developing the app, working with their internal sales team and external agents to ensure it had a build that was ready for the market place.
Named the Pellicano Property Update, the app is available to commercial and industrial agents, as well as residential agents and property investors. Properties can be filtered down to target state and sectors, giving users the opportunity to hone their focus quickly. Google location and directions, photo scrolling, and flyer download functions are all included in the user experience.
The app also links customers more directly to sales agents, with an in-app functions to instantly call and email the correlating agent.
“We feel the app gives greater transparency and access to properties to all demographics,” said Pellicano.
“The digitalisation of our lives is occurring and our industry needs to innovate and find new ways to connect with customers. This app will be updated in real time and put our whole portfolio in the hands of our agents and investors.”
Pellicano works across all property sectors including design, construction, leasing, selling and delivery. Its commitment to excellence sees Pellicano’s developments consistently in high demand by owner-occupiers, tenants and investors alike.
