Texas-based HomeAway, one of the world’s leading online marketplace of vacation rentals, with sites representing more than 640,000 paid vacation rental home listings throughout 168 countries, has launched an online marketing campaign via the popular new social media Pinterest and Facebook.
The promotion is called ‘Homeaway Dream Vacation Contest’ and participants are encouraged to ‘Pin to Win.’
The grand-prize is a $1,000 US, which will be applied towards a vacation rental stay, and five runners-up will receive a $100 gas (petrol) card. The contest runs from April 16th to 30th.
1. Create a Pinterest board for the contest with a title of your choice (for example: “Dream Vacation in Italy, “Florida Beach Houses” or “Family Reunion Houses”). Not on Pinterest? Join today at Pinterest.com
2. Visit HomeAway.com & pin at least 10 properties that you’d consider a dream vacation rental, for a trip with family or friends, to your new boards. Ensure that the pin link is directed to the porperty. You can include other “vacation isnspiration” photos on your board as well.
3. Once you’ve pinned the properties, submit the URL of your board by going to facebook.com/homeaway and clicking on the ‘Pin to Win’ box.
