Owning and running a property portal is becoming a more and more complex business. You have to think about everything from industry sales and marketing, product development, through to the generation of traffic and the conversion of that traffic into leads. And you have to do all of this in an increasingly competitive market. Many portals over invest in technology and under invest in the true creator of value, sales and marketing.
This is the second in a series of articles that looks at some of the “plug and play” solutions for property portals. In the first article we looked at Transmit, a plug and play listings feed management solution that helps portals reduce the cost of managing feeds while improving the overall quality of the service to advertisers.
Almost all portals focus their current business on the local market. They source listings locally (usually nationally) from agents, brokers and developers while promoting their brand locally to interested buyers, investors, and sellers. One segment of the market that is being missed is international listings and international buyers. In many markets, properties are sold to international buyers and locals invest in properties overseas.
ListGlobally provides a plug-in international solution for property portals around the world. ListGlobally also provides the property portals with an international subscription that portals can sell to their agents and developers therefore making additional revenue and providing the agents and developers with a global advertising solution.
