The UAE’s propertyfinder.ae had cause for joy yesterday after being ranked at eleventh place in the UAE in the prestigious Arabia Fast Growth 500.
The high achieving company picked up its award at All World Network’s Arabia 500 Awards Event & Celebration, which was hosted as a pre event of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit – Entrepreneurial Ventures of Arabia (GES-EVA), held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, at Dubai World Trade Centre.
The Arabia 500 is a MENA wide ranking of the high performing SME’s in the region. It is the first definitive record of the fastest growing, most dynamic entrepreneurs around.
Propertyfinder.ae’s high ranking was mainly based on an impressive 64 per cent growth rate in 2011. By the end of 2012 the company is set to finish at 81 per cent growth.
“We are extremely proud to have been ranked so high among a group of companies that are considered to be the best of the best in the region,” said Michael Lahyani, CEO & Founder of propertyfinder.ae. “This award tops off what has been another outstanding year for the company – one that has seen exponential growth in site traffic and an undeniable heightening of our profile.”
It has been a year of high level recognition for the property portal. In February, propertyfinder.ae was placed third in the Dubai SME 100 – a premier ranking of Dubai’s top performing SME’s.
Renan Bourdeau, propertyfinder.ae Managing Director commented: “This is a very exciting time for the company as we look to build on our visible successes by investing in new technology and expanding into other key markets in 2013. This ranking in the Arabia 500 means we are part of a special group of young, dynamic companies that are shaping the future of the region.”
Commenting on the awards, His Excellency Mohammed Al Gergawi, UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Organising Committee for GES-EVA stated after the ceremony that: “The top ranking positions achieved by the UAE SME’s in Arabia 500 reflect the government’s sustained efforts to promote entrepreneurship… [the ranked companies] can further benefit from their participation by networking with global policy makers and business leaders, sharing best practices and potentially expanding their business through industry linkages.”
