Purplebricks’ social media accounts have been posting new, controversial advertisements in which they claim their rivals at High Street “twiddle their thumbs” and wait for positive reviews on sites like Trustpilot instead of working hard.
One ad, that racked up 500,000 views on Youtube, shows a woman worried that using a hybrid agency would force her to do all the work herself. The commercial then says local experts would assist her every step of the way.
This is not news, as many Purplebricks ads have swiped at their contemporaries. “We think that’s far better than then them twiddling their thumbs in an office on the high street” says one ad.
In another ad, a man claims you should only work with “the big dogs” for safety reasons. A voiceover then claims that Purplebricks is now one of the big dogs, but doesn’t elaborate enough further.
Purplebricks has recently angered other agencies, by picking fights with them as well as arguing against review sites. They also had issues with previous ads, with people claiming their recent crab ads were making light of the #metoo movement.
