Australia’s annual Real Estate Business Awards, staged by Sterling Publishing through its property industry news website Realestatebusiness.com.au (REB), will this year have the REA Group on board as a principle partner.
REA Group’s decision to support the event will also herald the introduction of a new category: Digital Presence of the Year.
Sponsored by REA, the award will recognise those agents that are maximising their digital footprint across a number of platforms to win more listings and sell more properties – including their Agent Profile.
In its fourth year, REB says the awards reflect the evolution and maturation of leading real estate operators and networks.
This year’s event will be held on Thursday, 16 June at The Star in Sydney, where over 800 real estate professionals are expected to come together to recognise the industry’s top performers across 26 award categories.
Awards will be presented to the best individuals, groups and corporates in the real estate industry.
Sterling Publishing managing editor of mortgages and real estate James Mitchell says the REB awards have become one of the biggest events of the year.
“The REB awards honour those who are driving the real estate profession to new heights,” Mitchell says on REB.
REA Group executive general manager residential Andrew Rechtman adds the group is excited by the opportunity to support and recognise innovative Australian agents.
“We’re proud to support Australian real estate agents through this new partnership with the REB Awards,” he tells REB.
“The awards are a great way to recognise the industry’s most innovative agents and businesses and we’re excited that digitally-savvy agents will be acknowledged for the first time with the Digital Presence award.”
