REALTOR.com announced REALTOR.com’s Building Hope Challenge, a new campaign benefiting Habitat for Humanity.
Having received input from thousands of Realtors who have volunteered their time to Habitat, and with REALTOR’s own staff also volunteering and experiencing the difference the non-government and non-profit organization which has built 500,000 homes sheltering 2.5 million people worldwide since it’s inception in 1976, the company decided to get even further involved with Habitat’s cause.
REALTOR whole was personally affected by the devastation of Hurricane Sandy, which hit the eastern seaboard this past October. Via REALTOR’s Building Hope Challenge, the real estate community and concerned citizens around the US have rallied around the state of New Jersey, moving it to the top position currently to benefit from the company’s donation to Habitat.
The company’s CEO, a native Long Islander decided to mobilize REALTOR to help even more, so the company will be doubling employee donations up to $25,000 to Habitat’s Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund.
Individuals who wish to join in the Building Hope Challenge to support Habitat in their community can do so, by visiting REALTOR.com and voting for the state of their choice. Their votes will help decide which state receives a portion of REALTOR’s donation to the Habitat program and will enter them into weekly drawings for a $250 gift card.
Awareness can be raised for safe, affordable housing in the US, by sharing participation in the Building Hope Challenge with friends via email and Facebook.
