As part of its commitment to creating genuine partnerships with apartment owner/operators, RentPath has added a pair of vice presidents to its organization. Bob Clouser has taken over as vice president of Industry Relations and John Utley as the vice president of West Territory for RentPath, parent company of Apartment Guide, Rent.com, Rentals.com and Lovely.
Clouser comes from within RentPath’s organization, where he has served in various roles with increasing responsibilities. Utley is new to the team after most recently serving as the vice president of sales for Pushpay. Each will work directly with Arlene Mayfield, senior vice president of sales for RentPath.
“Both of these men have excelled in their roles and have been more than just good at their jobs,” Mayfield said. “They have exceeded expectations, and it gives me great pleasure to welcome them aboard to their new positions on our team.”
Clouser most recently served as the senior regional sales director of the Florida region, where he significantly increased revenue and client acquisition during his one-year stint. He began at RentPath in November 2000 as an account executive for New Home Guide. He cultivated that role into two publisher positions, advanced to regional sales director of two different regions and was promoted to a senior regional sales director for New Home Guide, Rental and RentalHouses.com in 2009.
Clouser also helped develop the teams for RentPath Premium Products, Save Desk and the Rent.com migration to subscription , demonstrating the ability to hire steady professionals and guide them to success, according to Mayfield.
“Bob has graciously and professionally accepted and embraced every challenge the company has requested of him,” Mayfield said. “His ability to effectively build and cultivate strong relationships has prepared him well for this new role. In this position, Bob will be responsible for building relationships with national and regional clients.”
Utley brings a wealth of sales experience to RentPath, including a stint at Pushpay in which he was responsible for leading and managing multiple teams. At Pushpay, Utley helped increase closing ratio from 26 to 34 percent, helped increase the IPO share price over 300 percent and helped raise $17.8 million to fund U.S. growth. He previously served in sales leadership roles at VIEVU, Military.com and Integra Telecom.
Utley, a Central Washington graduate who has won several Chairman’s Club and Sales Director of the quarter awards, is based in Seattle and will oversee the Northwest, Southwest, South Central and Gulf Coast regions
