First launched in Australia in 2004, Movember, an annual, month-long event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of prostate cancer and other male cancer initiatives as well as depression, is now also in Ireland, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Spain, the United Kingdom, Israel, South Africa, Taiwan and the United States.
Men around the world are jumping on the bandwagon for the good cause, and donning great upper lip hair follicle action. Now the UK’s Rightmove has encouraged its male employees to put down their razor blades and shaving foam as well, for the entire month of November, and grow some moustaches to change the face of men’s health.
Last year £79.3million was raised around the world for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and testicular cancer. Rightmove has a page dedicated to the support of Team RightMOve. Will some Rightmove Movemeber participants keep their moustaches? It could be a new fashion statement.
