I am impressed, whilst this might not be the first such promotion it is complete, integrated and sure to benefit brand exposure and traffic.
I naturally first off had to see what IDR600 million was in a currency that I know – US60k, that seems good value campaign, although I do not know the marketing budget for the company but there would be many portals that would love to give away a house for free that only cost $60k.
The video is very well produced and is clearly capturing attention; as of today it has been viewed on You Tube over 112,000 times and the promotion only started 3 days ago.
The social media connection is great to get viral sharing and a sense of excitement, they have 240,000 Likes – clearly Facebook is huge in Indonesia.
This type of campaign is acheiveable in countries with higher priced houses where a portal could partner with a bank and offer a 5 year mortgage holiday for example instead of a free house or else a $50k deposit. The contextual relevance is so key.
