iProperty Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Shaun Di Gregorio said that as internet penetration and more sophisticated forms of online engagement continue to catch up, the growth of mobile users will continue to escalate and these consumers are looking for platforms that offer them the most convenience and comprehensive information.
“While we have already gone to the market with our iProperty.com iPhone and Android apps, which has recorded high downloads; the mobile site offers users a totally different experience. The new upgrade to the mobile site will see consumers having a better search experience as several enhancements have been made to the site,” said Di Gregorio.
The enhancements to the mobile site include:
- Better presentation of pictures of properties in both the search and listings pages
- The same level of detail for a property on Rumah123.com can be found in the mobile site
- An easier platform to contact agents
- Consumers now have the option to shortlist their preferred property easily and view it again later
He added that Rumah123.com decided to adopt a mobile responsive design to cater to the different devices to enable consumers could get the best user experience.
“There are currently there are over 53% of Rumah123.com’s visitors that use the mobile site daily via different platforms. With the mobile site upgrade, Rumah123.com now offers two mobile sites, m.rumah123.com and lite.rumah123.com, that can be easily accessed by consumers on either an Android, iPhone or Blackberry devices,” added Di Gregorio.
Elaborating further, Di Gregorio said that in the recent iProperty.com Asia Property Market Sentiment Report (H1) 2013, more than 65% of respondents have indicated that they conduct searches on property information and their dream home or next property investment online.
