Lead by CEO Mohammad Hossein Rafatnejad, Iran’s iHome.ir boasts going beyond typical property buying and selling. The property portal’s concept looks to provide the most comprehensive realty solutions to the end user(s), by providing a property that perfectly fits their criteria. iHome.ir offers a spectrum of services: it finds thorough information on the location, public transport details, even tourist attractions, among other specs.
As the co-founder, Rafatnejad has been in the “DNA” of the company since its inception back in 2008, and its CEO since 2016 when the company was acquired by Zameen.com. Rafatnejad, in his own words, is gearing up to take the property market by storm and Ihome.ir will be the perfect catalyst to help him do so.
Rafatnejad told Simon Baker when they sat down for a fireside chat at the Property Portal Watch Bangkok 2018 Conference that the Iranian portal, composed of a team of 170+ employees, has obstacles such as sanctions, among others, forcing iHome.ir to focus only on its domestic market.
From the start, the portal has conducted business differently than other portals in the world, one thing was to charge for its services, and according to Rafatnejad skipping straight to premium services has been a tough challenge.
