It may not even launch until July, but UK challenger portal Homesearch has already received substantial backing from agents. According to the nascent portal’s own website, some 32% of the industry already support it and today the Federation of Independent Agents, a group of estate agents in the UK founded in 2019, has added its weight to the product.
Members of the group already had access to Homesearch’s housing data service which has been up and running for some time, and they will now also get fixed pricing on the portal until 2024 thanks to a deal done by group founder Graham Lock.
Homesearch reports to have 500 agencies ready to become paying members on launch and some 6800 who have indicated support of the concept of the new portal which promises unlimited listings, no contracts and that all leads will go directly to agents at no extra cost.
