The Galician Institute for Economic Promotion (IGAPE) will promote the specialization and access to the labor market of 140 young people under 35 with a university degree or higher professional training through the new Professional 4.0 program.

Professionals 4.0 is an aid program endowed with two million euros through which the hiring and training of these young people by companies, freelancers with two or more employees and associations, foundations or clusters, will be encouraged to carry out plans that guarantee their competitive advance in the field of Industry 4.0.

Improvement initiatives may be developed in areas as varied as financial optimization, professionalization of production and the logistics chain, the development of quality management processes and systems, the identification and implementation of cooperation networks and partners, the commitment to human capital, comprehensive advice to the entrepreneurial process, digitalization or creation of digital content and the effective incorporation of technology, among others.

The percentage of the aid may reach 75% of the gross compensation of the eligible period, with a limit of up to 16,000 euros, and each entity may opt for a maximum of five incentive contracts, with a duration of one year each.

Professionals 4.0 is part of the new Agenda 4.0 of the Xunta de Galicia, endowed with 350 million euros for the period 2019 and 2022, aimed at increasing the size of companies, favoring the commitment to digital talent and contributing to the reinvention of the Galician industrial fabric and its specialization from the technological point of view.
