Riding on the coattails of its ongoing success, leading Indian real estate portal, Square Yards, has recently announced that more than 5,000 independent real estate offices have signed up with the company to establish co-branded stores across eight cities in the country. The signups were held under the Preferred Partner program, an initiative developed to increase real estate professionals’ visibility and better promote their businesses.

Sumit Jain, Chief Business Officer, Channel Management, explained:

“We are building a business completely aligned with the smaller agents who have been underserved by industry innovation. When agents succeed, we succeed. That’s why we are committed to bringing groundbreaking technology and marketing solutions to help agents work smarter and faster.”

The draw of these offices for real estate professionals is that Square Yards will use its name and influence to help get consumers in the doors and spread the individual agency’s visibility. These partners will also have access to all Square Yards products and services.

Tanuj Shori, Founder & CEO of Square Yards, said:

“We have opened our tech platforms to all agents who get free listings plus leads for a lifetime in addition to state-of-the-art CRM and marketing tools. These agents are put into a proprietary gamified algorithm where they are scored on multiple parameters like the quality of their listings, customer interactions, transaction reporting, and platform activities. Best of the lot get picked for the preferred partner program and they get full branding and marketing support from us to boost their online and offline presence."

In India, there are around 1.5 million independent real estate agents who hold 70% of the new home sales in the country. Square Yards knows this and is tapping into this sector to support agents because they play a key role in the real estate transaction segment of the industry.

By backing independent real estate agents, Square Yards is reinforcing its commitment to elevating the Indian market while keeping true to the roots of the market.

Shori continued:

"We aim to take the number of these co-branded stores to 30,000 by the end of next financial year. This would be one of the largest distribution network of independent real estate agents in the world.”
