With stocks at higher numbers than recent projections dictated, many companies feel fine. However, the labor market is starting to dwindle, meaning this era of good money flow may be in danger.
Strive Talent feels like it knows the solution to this problem. Instead of looking at a potential employee’s job resume or even their academics for hiring purposes, the startup will read the hire’s potential for growth and personal knowledge of the job.
Strive will use cognitive assessments (done in an undisclosed location in the Los Angeles area), followed by in-house interviews and continued questioning to find out what each potential staff member can do.
There are no requirements to enter Strive’s firm. No previous employment, no specific education, just a willingness to work and a personal knowledge.
Will Houghteling, CEO of Strive, said “The focus that we have is helping candidates get access to jobs that are family supporting and have a professional pathway. We try to work with companies that are, at a minimum, paying $40,000 per year.”
