Global growth equity firm General Atlantic has announced plans to invest US$163 million to acquire a 19 percent stake in SouFun Holdings Limited at its IPO price from Telstra. Telstra announced the IPO of the Chinese classifieds portal earlier this month. General Atlantic explains that it will be partnering with Apax Partners, who will invest an equal amount on the same terms. Jeff Leng, General Atlantic's managing director, will be joining SouFun's board of directors. The acquisition of Threewide Corp., ListHub's parent company, cost Move US$13 million. Spanish property portal spanishestate.com has just announced the relaunch of its website with a new design. spanishestate.com is available in five languages and is feeding its listings to free property search engines such as Google, trovit.es, enormo.com and nuroa.es. US condos portal condo.com has announced two new partnerships with senior housing websites seniorsforliving.com and eldercarelink.com. condo.com says these partnerships will provide it with "thousands" of senior communities. They follow a similar deal with Dominon Enterprises' senioroutlook.com in August. To access these new communities, condo.com users need to choose the senior living link on the homepage. They will then be directed to a dedicated search page, which currently houses 4,301 listings. condo.com says it lists over 800,000 properties altogether, which are viewed by over 1 million visitors per month.
