With funding from the Build in Canada Innovation program, the University of Waterloo's co-operative education program is now using Plum to match 20,000 students a year with positions at 7,000 top employers across North America.
"With increased job creation there has been an upsurge in competition for talent which has exacerbated the impact of the skills gap in potential candidates, making recruiting challenging for employers," says Novolesky.
Workplace is designed for all different employment demographics, covering so-called knowledge workers (the traditional IT customer) as well as waged and front-line employees; but it also claims to be the most democratic of the pack, by virtue of being a Facebook product, designed for mass market use from the ground up.
