Italian tourism rental site CaseVacanza has acquired the rural tourism facility Agriturismo.it and announced it will create an Italian-based non-hotel tourism group .
In a statement Feries.com the umbrella group that owns CaseVacanza, said it was excited to purchase the 11-year-old agritourism site that offers accommodation in Italian farmhouses.
“The acquisition of Agriturismo.it represents a turning point in our ambitious project of creating an international hub of tourism focused in the Mediterranean Europe, with a strong and unique presence in Italy,” said CEO of Feries Francesco Lorenzani.
Agriturismo’s founder Veronica Mariani said the company was excited about the new partnership.
“We are very proud of this agreement, which places us in an interesting and strategic project with Feries. Considering the direction tourism has taken in recent years, increasingly digital, we are confident that the new network will offer owners the opportunity to bridge the gap between the supply and demand of non-hotel facilities online. ”
