“More accurate and timely listing data is a core goal for the real estate industry,” said Douglas Kenny, COO of NCMMLS. “By working together we have already dramatically improved the timeliness of our data.”
With a direct feed, NCMMLS brokers and agents are assured that listing info displayed on Trulia is as accurate and as up to date as possible, which provides value to everyone.
Trulia offers a number of ways for its partners to ensure listings on its popular web and mobile offerings, which receive over 31 million visitors per month, are up to date. With Trulia Direct Reference, Trulia automatically reports data discrepancies to the MLS, broker and listing agent. This gives the agent the ability to correct that information at the source.
The NCMMLS is using Trulia Direct Listings, which creates a seamless direct connection to ensure data is synchronized with Trulia.
“Having the most accurate listing data available to both the industry and consumers requires cooperation between multiple parties,” said Alon Chaver, Vice President of Industry Services at Trulia. “Our agreement with NCMMLS is an example of how we can work together to provide efficiencies for MLS partners.”
Back in January of this year, Trulia announced they had introduced technology to continuously update listings the portal received directly from MLSs as often as every 10 minutes.
