Uber’s latest offering, UberBOAT is about to launch in Croatian starting on June 26. UberBOAT is a service for tourists and residents alike, navigating the waters of a few islands in Croatia, with a particular focus on getting to and from the airport in Split.
This is not the first time that Uber ventured into boating, having launched pop-up boat promotions in Miami and Istanbul before, as well as several other speciality services such as mopeds, ski concierge, bike and pet transport, and UberCOPTER in the South of France. The new Croatian option represents the first time boats will be available on the mobile app for an entire season. Here’s info about UberBOAT so far.
For now, UberBOAT is only available in Croatia. “Point to point” transportation can be ordered among four main locations: Split, the Split airport, Hvar, and Dubrovnik. Users can also opt to use the app to rent a boat for a half-day or full day adventure, in which case there is more flexibility as to which islands you can hit.
Users can begin ordering on Monday, June 26, with service running all summer long. Boats are available on demand all day and night.
