Tech solutions and background screening strategy leader, TazWorks, has recently announced that all employees have finished the NAPBS FCRA Basic Certificate program that holds up the "highest level of compliance, service delivery, and protection of its clients and its own business activities".
"Requiring Basic FCRA Certificates for all employees has made us a better, wiser company. We have seen a change in employee engagement and competence as a result," said TazWorks CEO, Barton Taylor. "It will also help us to better serve our customers as we have doubled down on our commitment to the highest levels of competence from within our organization."
The Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 (FCRA) was established by the U.S. Federal Government through legislation in 1970 to promote the accuracy, fairness, and privacy of consumer information contained in the files of consumer reporting agencies. The FCRA Basic Certificate Program provides a foundational understanding of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) protecting consumers from unfair and inaccurate reporting.
"NAPBS is proud to offer educational tools and programs as part of our mission to advance excellence in the screening profession. Seeing our members, like TazWorks, embrace additional educational opportunities for their team further advances that mission. We are proud of our members for their active engagement and willingness to positively impact the profession," said NAPBS Executive Director, Melissa Sorenson.
Joe Olsen, TazWorks COO, commented on the move, "Compliance is at the forefront of all of our employees' minds. We've rallied as a company to ensure every employee is certified. We've also adopted policies that require new employees to complete certification within the first 30 days of employment. Our commitment to this high standard is a long-term strategy to improve the overall perception and quality of service. It's unique and unprecedented in the industry, and we believe that it will produce long-term benefits for us and our customers."
