State agencies want job seekers to remember that their state is their future, and there are always possibilities to be sought out in the job search.
South Carolina Department of Administration Executive Director Marcia Adams announced the launch, Tuesday, of the recruitment website, careers.sc.gov. The website is part of the state’s first-ever statewide recruitment initiative.
“State employees provide many services that benefit their neighbors every day. From the information technology and security specialists who enhance the security of state systems and data, to the troopers who patrol South Carolina highways, to the biologists who help protect ecosystems during road construction projects, there is no better way to make a difference and love what you do than to work for the state of South Carolina,” said Adams. “I encourage everyone to visit careers.sc.gov and discover the possibilities that will impact their future and the state’s.”
Recruiters want to make sure job-seekers know as much as possible about careers with the state.
“The purpose of the Statewide Recruitment Initiative and website is to help change the perception of what it means to work for state government,” said Kelly Coakley, Director of Strategic Communications. “State employees provide many services that directly help citizens. When you work for the state you get to make a difference every day. Through this effort, we hope to encourage more people to consider a career in state government.”
