Canadian employment seeking platform app, WorkingTrades, hopes to make the process of finding an employer or an employee in the trade industry simple and efficient. Plumbers, bricklayers, forklift operators, among others, will be able to look for a job on the WorkingTrades app, without having to weed through a plethora of jobs which do not apply to them, and apply with just a couple of clicks.
However, the app has not yet been launched, and now the creators of WorkingTrades are looking to expedite the project by publicly seeking community support via crowdfunding platform Kickstarter.
A spokesperson for WorkingTrades said, that the motivation behind the new app was to enable job seekers and employers in the trade industry, to easily match up skills with jobs, and to ensure that the process is quick and efficient, saving everyone time and effort, which they in turn can apply to other parts of their lives.
WorkingTrades’ goal is to raise $63,040 by September 3rd, in order to further the app. The company is currently based in Alberta, but there are plans to expand it Canada-wide, as more companies and job candidates become involved in the project.
