Zillow.com’s recently updated app, version 5.5.2, allows for free access to foreclosure and pre-foreclosure, bank-owned properties, and auction listings enabling users to search through an even database of what is currently on the market.
Foreclosure information is free and public record if requested from the county where the distressed property of interest is located, but now Zillow has made this information readily available, not only on its regular website but also in its app, for the on-the-go potential property buyer. These listings are not freely available on any other real estate site.
In addition to the foreclosure listings, the app now also visually tracks what homes users have previously viewed. The opacity of the home icon will dim on the map view, once a property is viewed, saving users time because they don’t click on the same listing over and, over again. This feature syncs across all devices.
The company announced that it also fixed a crashing bug for those users running iOS 4.3 and some minor bug fixes around the new foreclosures feature.
The Zillow app is free of charge and it is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iOS 4.3 or later. The app is optimized for iPhone 5.
